Legacy build and quick start

This page keeps the previous KALYIX V1 state visible. The app is no longer being developed and remains available only as a technical reference. Below you will find the few steps worth knowing before the first test.

Important first

  • V1 is no longer an active product path
  • the app itself is only available in German
  • there is no guarantee, no support, and no promise that it will work
  • the build may work on your system, work only partially, or not run at all
  • V2 is the real development path, not V1

Language state of V1

V1 intentionally stays visible only in its previous condition. That also means the app UI, notes, and flow are available in German only.

Quick setup

This page is not meant to be a full manual. These steps are enough for a first try:

  1. Create Twitch credentials: Open the Twitch developer area and create a Client ID and Client Secret for your app there. dev.twitch.tv
  2. Open the OBS menu: Go to "Tools -> WebSocket Server Settings".
  3. Enable OBS WebSocket: Enable the WebSocket server there and note the host, port, and password if you use one.
  4. Enter everything in KALYIX: Enter the Twitch Client ID, Twitch Client Secret, and the OBS host, port, and password in the KALYIX settings, save everything, and then connect OBS.
  5. Just test it: Try the current state as it is and play around with it a little.
